A Parsons architecture professor has been named dean of the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. Kent Kleinman (left) will start his five year term in September. He’s now chair of the Department of Architecture, Interior Design, and Lighting at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City.

Maybe (just maybe) Kleinman will finally get Milstein Hall built. (Read CAM’s 2007 cover story about the controversy and Kleinman’s predecessor, Mohsen Mostafavi.)

To do it, he’ll need a sense of humor, which apparently he has. He got more than a few laughs at a Cooper Union art exhibit in January. Watch the video here.

Read more about Kleinman’s appointment in the Cornell Chronicle.
