Last week Cornell lost one of its most active supporters and benefactors. Stephen Weiss ’57 died on April 16 at the age of 72.

Weiss served on the Board of Trustees for twenty-four years, including eight as chair. He also funded an array of professorships, fellowships, deanships, and research projects. President David Skorton called him “a consumate Cornellian.”
